As a teacher, one has to communicate with a number of different people for a variety of different reasons. Communication between students, parents, other teachers, and administration is going to happen over the course of a career. The effectiveness of this communication is important for a teacher. A teacher needs to be able to communicate verbally, through email, and other forms of written communication. It is vital that teacher maintain professionalism in their communications, especially between students and parents. I feel I do well in this standard, but I have had limited experience in communication through email with parents and administration. I have been able to communicate with other teachers and some students in regard to assignments. I feel I communicate verbally well with other teachers, students and administration. I do have a bit of a hard time judging my true ability in this standard because of my lack of experience, most communications are directed to my host teacher, especially those between parents. As I continue my teaching career, I plan to continue to try and conduct myself professionally in every possible way of communication, so that I am a well-respected teacher.
